IMG 20161105 130013194Did you see the prayer box on our driveway on the lower lot? We invite friends, members, and the community to share prayer concerns during the week by placing them in the prayer box! Put up the flag and we will know there is one to receive.

ColumbariumA new Columbarium (holds funeral urns) has been installed at the back end of the cemetery. The Columbarium will hold 20 niches (each niche holds 2 urns). We are now taking orders for niches. The price is $2,500 per niche. The engraving is approximately $750. For purchase of a niche and additional information, contact Phil Giuffrida (410-877-7630) or Peggy Johnson (410-692-2652).

gift cardsPlease help us raise funds for missions! Purchase gift cards from FUMC by check or cash and we receive a percentage back from each merchant - it’s that simple. You can use the gift cards for your weekly grocery shopping, and for other local merchants.  Order your gifts cards on Sunday and we will have them for you the following Sunday.

FARMFallston Animal Rescue Movement (FARM) is a nonprofit animal rescue operated out of Feed Plus at 2725 Fallston Road. Mission FARM was begun by Greg and Barbara Bertling to find homes for some of the wonderful, loving pets abandoned, lost or given up and scheduled for euthanasia at area shelters. Thus, FARM means the difference between life and death for the pets rescued. We provide food, shelter, medical care, behavioral evaluation and affection. We take great care to find responsible, loving, permanent homes for each pet we save. The FARM has rescued and placed over 6,000 dogs and cats since its beginning in October, 2000.

Linda Gail Meyer has volunteered to be FUMC's liaison with FARM.  Click here for the link to FARM's Amazon wishlist. They can always use sturdy and secure harnesses, collars, and leashes for small to medium sized dogs. Small blankets and towels can always be used, as well as small dog beds. They prefer no dry dog/cat food as we feed our animals all the same food.  FARM is also having a fundraiser in May and are looking for themed baskets, gift cards, or any type of donation that may be able to put together in a basket.

reuse reduce recycle 1FUMC is getting greener!  We have been doing a great job filling up our recycling dumpster.  Please remember - the recycling bin in the parking lot is only to be used for materials generated by events held at FUMC.  Please do not bring recycling items from your home.  Thank you.

clothing binWe're not only recycling paper, bottles and cans, but here's an opportunity to recycle clothing and send kids to camp.  Missions Partners delivered 2 blue clothing bins to our lower parking lot.  We'll be accepting any used clothing and shoes for the United Methodist Church's "Clean Closets for Campers" program.  Most donated items stay inside the U.S. and are made into reusable rags, eco-friendly insulation for homes, or resold at thrift stores.  We will receive money for the pounds of clothing that will be used for camperships for children.  Thanks for your support!

HumanTrackickingPresentation150x113On February 1, 2015 Jeanne L. Allert, the Founder and Director of The Samaritan Women gave a very moving presentation on Human Trafficking Awareness. She has very graciously allowed us to provide the audio of the presentation to you. Listen here to find out how human trafficking affects us right here in Harford County.

fallstonseafoodLooking for a place for fellowship and good food on Sunday afternoon AND support our building fund at the same time? Fallston UMC has established a partnership with Fallston Seafood Restaurant (2108 Fallston Road). By bringing our bulletin from that Sunday between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm, the restaurant managers will contribute 5% of your bill back to the church. What a great opportunity to make new friends.

ChurchSandalBannerTransparent 200Dear Friends and Members,

Please download this  booklet containing information about how we can deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ by moving from membership to discipleship (click on the "Be Like Jesus" icon).  Our Savior calls us to walk with Him daily and over the next several weeks in worship, we will be discerning how best we can follow Jesus.  You will receive the same booklet in the mail by the end of this week or early next week.  If you have felt like your faith has been in a holding pattern lately, or waning, maybe this is the challenge God is setting before you.  I guarantee you that if you intentionally walk this path over the next six weeks, you will jumpstart your faith journey.  And if you are one right now whose spirit is "well," please hold others in prayer.

Together, we might just have a revival right here in the Fallston community!

Blessings, Karin
