Outdoor Worship

You Are Welcome Here

Our Saturday evening service is in Friendship Meadow - an amphitheater like space directly behind the church. It is shaded and beautiful. Our band and pastors create a wonderful, moving worship experience. The service is 45 minutes and begins at 5:30 pm. We are "loving our neighbor as ourselves" and therefore wearing masks! You can get there by parking in the upper or lower lots and walking behind the church. You can also drive around and park in the back accessible parking. Some folks bring their own chairs and others sit on the benches or at the picnic tables. Everything is cleaned before our service and we have a great time.

Dress is casual. Be comfortable!! Our service attracts folks from a variety of denominations and church backgrounds. You will be comfortable here. The worship is user friendly, the music great, the message relevant and it connects with life. It’s what you need to keep you going and hopeful during these days!

Currently, Sunday morning worship is live streamed! It’s easy to join. Just email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and get on our email list or sign up at the bottom of our homepage. We will then send you a link for worship. You can be live with us at 9:00 am, or after 11:00 am on Sunday, watch worship at any time! The link is always available at the top of the webpage.

Our hope is that in August we will be returning to our sanctuary and practicing social distancing. Our sanctuary is spacious and accessible so it will be possible to walk in, sit down for worship, enjoy it, and leave without touching anything.  As soon as we can confirm the date of August 9, we will go through our protocols for the new era that we are living in.

Parking is available in both lots that surround our facility, with overflow parking available at the library next door, accessible by a connecting sidewalk.

Doorways to our facility are found adjacent to the parking lots. If you enter on the upper level, the door under the awning opens with the push of a button for easy access.  If you enter on the lower level, follow the signs up the stairs or to the elevator to the upper level where the Sanctuary entrance is located.  At the Sanctuary entrance you will find friendly people who will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Vacation Bible School is set to go on August 10th. What a gift for families wanting to learn together. Click the link for more details

Manna House

Many Ways to Connect

Being a part of a small group is a truly uplifting part of our faith experience as an extension of the community we find in worship. There are many short (a few weeks) and longer (all year) groups available and open to all including: bible study, book club, women's group, men's group, prayer group, grief support, PICKLEBALL ON MONDAYS (currently meeting outside)  and a variety of choirs. Check out the HAPPENINGS tab to see the current groups.  There are always new ones forming.  **Right now, many are on zoom which is a lovely way to get introduced to folks.

Mission

We are very involved with mission each month: from local missions including the neighboring food pantries, Manna House of Baltimore, Sharing Table of Harford County, ARC, adopt-a-family programs, school supplies for local children and supporting school lunch debt to national missions like UMCOR, Puerto Rico, Operation Christmas Child and Appalachia Service Project, along with visiting local nursing homes, scouting and more!

Fallston United Methodist Church celebrated its 175th Anniversary in 2002. Our beginnings date to 1827, and even before, to a group of Methodists that worshipped in homes in this part of Harford County, Maryland. Fallston United Methodist Church was formed by the 1962 merger of Providence Methodist Church and Friendship Methodist Church, both located on Fallston Road and served by the same pastor since 1952.

We built our Education building in 1966, completed our Sanctuary in 1977, and added a large gymnasium, stage and kitchen in 2001. Two spaces bear the names Friendship Center (gym) and Providence Hall in honor of our founding congregations.

We are today a vibrant congregation, from our babies and toddlers to those who have been part of FUMC for decades, with an average Sunday worship of about 300. Our Sunday School program, staffed by more than 25 volunteer teachers, serves about 100 children each week.

Fallston Child Care Center

Children learning at the Fallston Childcare Center

Fallston Child Care Center first opened its doors in September of 1982. The day care center was organized as an outreach of Fallston United Methodist Church for the purpose of helping to answer the community’s child care needs. Offering families affordable, quality child care in a small-group setting within the church facility was the goal of this ministry. Concern for each child as an individual is basic to our philosophy. Fallston Child Care Center seeks to create a loving, caring atmosphere that will stimulate young minds and help them grow mentally, physically, and socially.
